Hiawatha Behavioral Health partners with consumers and community groups to support a quality life for individuals with severe mental/emotional illness, developmental disabilities and those experiencing a crisis, by facilitating resilience, recovery, and independence.

Goals

1. Implement Residential Plan and develop more AFC homes
2. Improve transition planning and follow-up, both internal and external
3. Improve budget planning and forecasting-prepare for FY 2012 and beyond
4. Update PR/Public Education plan, work effectively with community partnersdevelop/explore strategic partnerships
5. Develop healthcare reform expertise - communicate internally
6. Evaluate crisis services system - decrease inpatient admission rates - revisit crisis residential
7. Work regionally to improve efficiency and services
8. Improve data reporting and analysis - use effectively for management
9. Develop and implement healthcare integration project(s) for SMI population
10. Research and implement remote access technology solutions to improve
communication and enhance efficiencies
