Connections Social Recreation Program
Mission Statement:
The Connections Social Recreation Program Mission is to promote socialization, community involvement and recreation for people with developmental disabilities.
Description of Services:
The Social Recreation program will provide community involvement and socialization for people with developmental disabilities. Activities will include involvement in the Special Olympics, volunteering in the community, activities with other members of the program, arts and crafts as well as outings in the community to ensure that individuals who attend feel part of their community. The program will stress enjoyment and fun for the participants that attend.
Program Goals:
1. Effectiveness:
Increase number of consumers attending community outings either singly or in a group at Connections; October - March 60% / April - September 75% of connections members will go on three community outings per month
2. Efficiency:
Connections will achieve attendance of 70% or higher.
3. Consumer Satisfaction of the Social Recreation Program will receive a 92% or better rating.
