HIAWATHA
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is
a three county mental health agency located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of
Michigan. Offices are located in
Manistique, Sault Ste. Marie, and St. Ignace.
HBH is seeking applications for two Registered Nurses.
Registered
Nurse for OBRA and Residential Programs to assess the need for health care
services, document clinical histories, and identify abnormal findings of persons
with developmental disabilities or mental illness.
Provide back-up RN services to other program areas. Position is full-time
and will be located in Sault Ste. Marie.
Registered
Nurse for Psychiatric Services to assist physicians/psychiatrists in providing
outpatient psychiatric services; perform nursing duties with outpatient
psychiatric clients; and perform necessary liaison, advocacy and consultation
work with ancillary agencies DHS, courts, physicians, hospitals, foster care
providers, clinicians and families. Provide
back-up RN services to other program areas and throughout the agency.
Position will be located in Manistique.
This is a part-time position, but may have the option of becoming
full-time.
Qualifications:
Diploma from a recognized
school of nursing or the equivalent, and State of Michigan license to practice
as a registered nurse required. Minimum
of one year of nursing experience, and experience working with individuals with
mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred. Must
meet standards as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at the end of one year
of employment. Must be able to write
reports, clinical correspondence and procedure manuals; and computer knowledge
required.

Community
Support Aides
to provide meal preparation, personal care, cleaning, supervision and
transportation to individuals in family and/or individual homes or in an Adult
Foster Care Home and to carry out treatment programs and document results.
Applicants must be flexible with work schedule and be able to work
evenings and weekends. There are
multiple positions and various hours available.
Qualifications:
High
School diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license are required. Experience
with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities a plus.
On-the-job training will be provided.

seeking applications for an Assistant Home Manager to assist Residential
Supervisor in the day to day operations of two residential homes in compliance
with all applicable HBH and DHS policies and procedures.
Provide direct supervision for contractual aides.
Hours of work may vary according to needs.
Position located in Manistique.
Qualifications:
High
school diploma or equivalent required. One
year experience working in residential setting with individuals with
developmental disabilities and/or mental illness; supervisory experience
preferred. Demonstrated ability to
understand and communicate written and verbal information, and work with a team
providing services to the developmentally disabled. Must be at least 18 years of
age. Appointment subject to criminal
background check. A valid driver's
license is required.
