and Goals

 

    Mission Statement

       Hiawatha Behavioral Health partners with consumers and other community based services to build resilience, facilitate recovery, enhance self-resilience, and improve the quality of life for individuals with severe mental/emotional illness and/or developmental disabilities in Chippewa, Schoolcraft, and Mackinac Counties.

Vision

       To serve as a catalyst for positive social change, promote a philosophy of recovery, and assure the highest quality of behavioral health services in our community.

Values

Hiawatha Behavioral Health places the utmost value on the following:

Goals

  1.    Promote consumer involvement

  2.     Improve/increase opportunities for jobs for the persons we serve.

  3.     Ongoing assessment and planning for services for:

    Older adults

    Young adults - especially residential needs

  4.       Improve coordination of care within both external and internal operations, i.e., primary physicians

  5.        Improve Utilization Management (UM) into current and future clinical operations

  6.       Improve both internal and external communications

   7.       Promote positive public relations for HBH and the persons we serve

   8.       Improve Human Resources processes by:

    Providing meaningful staff training

    Offering growth in career opportunities

    Improving the hiring process

   9.       Promote quality business procedures that mutually support efficient use of resources and mental health best practices.
